On Memorial Day Monday, at around 10:30pm, Chicago’s Shedd Aquarium welcomed a new-born Pacific White-sided Dolphin calf to its Oceanarium. Shortly after the birth, the calf swam to the surface, took its first breath, and began to swim and bond with its mother. (via zooborns)

A pangolin crawls on bags wrapping other pangolins during a news conference on wildlife rescue in Bangkok, Thailand. Thai customs officers rescued 138 endangered pangolins worth about $46,000 that they say were to be sold and eaten outside the country.
